All UNA students are invited to a workshop with guest artist and poet Adda Farcus at the Elaine Bailey Augustine Art Gallery in the Visual Arts Building on Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18. The workshop is drop-in style and focuses on score writing and experimentation. You do not need any experience with graphic scores, performance, or music. Feel free to join for as much or as little time as you wish.
Attendance at the artist’s lecture is encouraged at 4:30 pm on the first day, providing an opportunity to gain insight into Contemporary Art and Performance Art methods. On the second day, participants may present their work through performance at the workshop closing, followed by a reception. All works produced during the workshop will be exhibited alongside the guest artist’s work.
More in-depth information forthcoming. Registration is not mandatory but encouraged. A headcount will help the gallery prepare workshop supplies. Please contact Visual Arts and Design at 256-765-4384 for any questions.
