‘Quoth the Raven,’ Get to the Polls

Your voice matters in the Alabama November 3rd General Election!

Join the Theta Delta Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta and NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success) for an Edgar Allan Poe themed* voter registration event on Tuesday, October 13th from 11 am to 2 pm in the GUC Atrium. Cake will be provided to those who register to vote or can prove their registration status, as well as those who are ineligible to vote for various reasons beyond their control.

Voter registration requirements:
– United States citizenship
– 18 years of age on or before election day
– Your Alabama Driver’s License or Non-Driver ID Number; if you have no Alabama Driver’s License or Alabama Non-Driver ID number, then provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number
– Date of Birth
– Address where you live and address where you receive mail (if different)
– Your Signature and Date

* Why is the event Edgar Allan Poe themed? Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honors Society, so naturally we are interested in both the works and lives of poets. Interestingly, Poe’s mysterious death is theorized to relate to a 19th century form of electoral fraud known as “cooping.”
